Japanese art

Japanese art reached its highest levels of excellence during the Muromachi period (1338-1573). Art turned into a more aristocratic and elitist trend. At the same time the Zen-buddhism spread quickly around the shogun court in Kyoto. It was the time for aristocrats and clan warriors or "samurai", it was time for war but also a great moment for the arts. This two pictures are not exactly from this period but also show this military/aristocratic trend that started during that period. Hope you´ll like it!
