Awesome catalan art in NYC.

Jaume Plensa is one of the most interesting spanish aritis of the moment. His sculpture "Echo" is the main attraction of the Madison Square Garden in NYC. The intention of the artist is to introduce an element of quietness inside the city "that never sleeps".  The sculpture of 13 meters high represents the calm of  a little girl sleeping. He was inspired by the greek mith of Echo, the fairy that lost her own voice and had to repeat the words of other people for the rest of the eternity. "Duggart" the surfer-artist of Union Square, NYC.

This guy is one of the celebritie/artist in Union Square, NYC. During my last visit to the city I was living some blocks away from the square so I used to take a look there almost daily. After talking for a while with "Dugg" we discover we had somthing in common: surfing. This man travels around the world selling his art in order to get moeny for a new surfari. He also said that he was buddhist so here we have an artist-surfer-buddhist selling out his creations on the streets of New York City. God bless America!

Frank Lloyd´s Wright contribution to the arts.

This is probably one of my favorites buildings. It was build in 1959 by one of the greatest arquitects in history: Frank Lloyd Wright(http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Lloyd_Wright). I think the most relevant about the building is  that, for the first time, a piece of art would be the home for one of the biggest collections of modern art. Many critics mean it is stupid that the building gets more important than the paintings inside...but I guess is the perfect combination, and thats why this icon of NY is worldwide known and admired. Enjoy!
